<Callout type="warn" title="Blocked">
  Daily is blocked: there is no viable JS path for it today.

  **Why.** Upstream uses the native daily-python SDK. Daily publishes no headless or server-side JS SDK, and @daily-co/daily-js is browser-only. Tavus and LemonSlice run on Daily rooms, so they are blocked too.

  **What would unblock it.** Unblocked if Daily ships a Node or server SDK, or if someone builds a headless media path. The REST helpers for rooms and tokens are portable now, and a pull request for them would be accepted.

## What it is [#what-it-is]

WebRTC rooms on Daily, with telephony (PSTN and SIP) and recording.

Upstream, it's this class: `DailyTransport`, in
[`transports/daily/transport.py`](https://github.com/pipecat-ai/pipecat/blob/main/src/pipecat/transports/daily/transport.py).

Its pipedog package will be `@pipedog/transport-daily`.

## Get it ported [#get-it-ported]

* [Search the issues](https://github.com/polvallverdu/pipedog/issues?q=is%3Aissue+Daily) for a request, and upvote it with a reaction.
* If there's none, [open a port request](https://github.com/polvallverdu/pipedog/issues/new?template=feature_request.yml\&title=Port+Daily+%28DailyTransport%29\&kind=Port+an+upstream+module\&upstream=src%2Fpipecat%2Ftransports%2Fdaily%2Ftransport.py).
* Or port it yourself: the [contributing guide](https://polvallverdu.github.io/pipedog/docs/contributing.md) explains how modules are ported,
  test by test. The [porting status](https://polvallverdu.github.io/pipedog/docs/contributing/status.md) lists what's done.

Until then, see what is ported in [Transports](https://polvallverdu.github.io/pipedog/docs/transports.md).
